Have you ever considered how the people around you influence your growth?
How about how your peers encourage you to do better?
Your social circle has an immense impact on both your personal and professional development. Are your peers pushing you to improve by providing support, feedback, and most importantly, a sense of belonging? These things all come together and impact our confidence, decision-making, and the overall trajectory of our lives. A negative social circle can hinder our growth by limiting our beliefs in ourselves and discouraging improvement and ambition.
Key traits to look for in individuals who inspire growth:
Supportive: They encourage you during challenges.
Honest: They provide constructive feedback.
Driven: They set high standards for themselves and others.
Inspiring: They share their own growth stories and ambitions.
Evaluate your network. Are the people you are surrounding yourself with serving you? Do they encourage you to take risks? Are they there to support you when things don’t go to plan?
This week, I want to encourage everyone to find one person in your life that inspires you and reach out to them. With meaningful support and guidance, you can set off in the right direction.
Remember, growth happens in the company of those who challenge us to be better!
